Registrations open in mid-January.
Keep an eye on our website and social media pages.
Registration Fees are reviewed each season, however, we aim to keep them as affordable as possible while covering costs.
A large portion of Registration Fees go towards FFA and FNSW affiliation and insurance levies and NSFA Team Fees. The remaining fees cover kit bags (match balls, training balls, goalie gloves & jersey, flags, player jerseys), ground hire for training and matches, storage costs for equipment, training equipment, end of year trophies, team photos (junior players), end of season events, administration costs (website, admin officer).
Current season registration fees can be found under the Registration tab.
We accept late registrations if there are spaces in teams. We would encourage you to register early to avoid disappointment.
If you are new to GFC, you'll need to order club socks and club shorts. See our kit page here.
Players receive their match jerseys at Meet the Team Day
There is Compulsory Grading for U8 and above. See the events calendar for details
Thanks for registering!
U6 and U7 teams are formed based on friends/classmates as much as possible. U8-U12 teams are graded - previous experience has shown that children develop more quickly, get greater enjoyment, and will continue with the sport for longer, if they are playing alongside players of equal ability. Team sport is a fantastic way for children (and parents) to form new friendships.
Team announcements will be emailed once all teams are formed at least 2 weeks prior to the season commencing. We are pleased to offer an additional choice for girls that would like to play in a girls only environment. Don’t see your age group offered below? Get in touch, we are always willing to help put together a team.

Girls can play both Saturdays and Sundays with a single registration. Girls only teams play on Sundays.
Games are played within the NSFA boundaries, usually on a home and away rotation. Mixed teams (U6-U18) play on Saturday mornings, with games starting between 8.30am and 11.30am. Girls Only teams (U6-U18) play on Sunday mornings, with games starting between 8.30am and 11.30am.
We use an external training provider to deliver quality training to our U6-U18s. This is at an additional cost, subsidised by the club. Held at Saiala Oval, Killara. Exact timings will be confirmed 3-4 weeks before the season starts. Training usually starts the third week of March. Bookings will open here on our website.
Each team needs a volunteer Coach and Manager with a valid WWCC in order to play. Teams also need to provide a volunteer Game Leader (referee) for MiniRoos (U6-U11) and Linesperson for Junior games (U12-U18). Lots of support from the club is available. We find that teams with strong support from the parent group enjoy the season more and are more likely to return the following season.
The season generally runs from April until the end of August, with pre-season training commencing mid-March. MiniRoos (U6-U11) end the season with a Gala Day, a series of 3 short games. Junior and Senior competitions have Semi Finals and a Grand Final.
Usually games are scheduled for the first and last weekend of the school holidays, with no games on the middle weekend of the school holidays.
